Can PVC Roofing Sheets Burn?

As a PVC tile factory, one common question we receive from our customers is whether plastic tiles will burn when exposed to fire. It’s important to understand the different types of plastic roofing sheets and their flammability. PVC roofing sheets are made of a type of plastic called polyvinyl chloride, which has a high resistance to fire. In fact, PVC has a high flame resistance and is considered self-extinguishing, meaning it will not support combustion once the flame is removed. On the other hand, fiberlite fiberglass corrugated sheets are also non-combustible and have a Class A fire rating. These sheets are made of glass-reinforced plastic, which provides excellent fire resistance. So, the bottom line is that plastic roofing sheets, especially those made of PVC or fiberglass, will not burn when exposed to fire. As a PVC tile factory, we are committed to providing high-quality and fire-resistant roofing solutions for our customers.
